I wonder what they are weighing, surely not the whole motor. Maybe the block. Motortrend says 472lbs other places say 452, that is more believable than 280lbs. Even if everything was made of titanium a fully assembled motor displacing 5.7l would weigh more than 280. The only thing they say is made of titanium is the connecting rods, the rest they say is
"made exclusively of light alloy" I'm guessing aluminum or magnesium seeing as it would be difficult and excessively expensive to make a cast titanium alloy block.
