yea, I have one that you can setup to sense motion and automatically record it to your hard drive.....I busted my cat pissing in the house (aka. marking his territory) with it. It worked quite well actually.....
the camera I got is actually an IP/network camera....you just use a Cat5 to plug the camera directly into a network hub....no need to hook it upto a computer....and it works great! I'd suggest getting one with nightvision though if you are gonna set it up at night.

The motion sensitive software is the way to go. x10 wireless cams would work well I hear.
A guy I used to work with caught the cleaning chick using his office chair as a snot repository and got her fired. She was cute till you see the massive loogs she starts shooting all over his desk. She had the "hold one nostril and fire" technique down.
