I was in my friends house last night from 10pm-12:30am in hayward (by tennyson exit) and when i was about to leave, i saw my driver side window open, and realize there are a lot of broken glass inside/out my car.
They only got my stereo which is a good thing and nothing more. I'm just so pissed that even the hayward police won't even send a guy down there to write a police report. According to the lady i talked to, "just go online and write your report". That's BS i think.
I just feel so violated and again all the police are just too busy to drop by and to check on it.
Anyway, just want to let that out...
BTW, anyone knows where would be a good place to have my window glass replaced?

That sucks man, sorry to hear.
It really bothers me to, that the PD won't ever even come investigate. It's not like there are thousands of people out there breaking into cars...it's probably the same 10 or 15 dirtballs. I feel like if they went after it a little more it would stop happening as much. Also, the fewer times they come out and make reports...the fewer reports that get made and the better the city's crime statistics are. It's better for your insurance, but I still don't like it. I would love to catch someone doing that kind of thing.

yea, hayward pd sucks... i got robbed @ the ATM last fall and they made me go to the police station instead of sending an officer out to me.... facking lazy *** pigs
same things are happening all over the bay area/.
right now, those are low priority crimes.
heck, when my wrx had the badges ripped off, i called around 6pm and waited til like midnight when no one showed up.
i called. they said a detective will call me to get a statement.
recently, a neighbor got his mustang broken into. cops told him to report it online.
we live a diff time now.

Hope they would get what they deserve...
I just hate these people getting away from these things. They would just feel more comfortable on repeating such act.

you complain about the police now, but if you were being robbed at gunpoint and all the officers were busy taking down police reports youd be pretty pissed too

I think it reallyjust depend on the times and how busy they are. I have had hayward pd show up when someone broke my gf's driver window. Nothing was stolen but they came and we filed a report.

I know someone that got robbed in front of an atm also. The whole thing was on camera and when they told the bank about it the bank manager gave him back all the money that was taken from him. That was a really cool thing to do for sure I thought. I wonder if their insurance covered that or something like if they called it a robbery of the bank since it was on their property.

How do you finger print a broken wndow? If they used a tool to pry your wondow or lock, I can see where you are coming from. However, busting a window and snatching something from the inside doesn't ever require one to touch the car. Most car theives wear gloves anyway and printing usually produces no results.
