Maybe it's the view but I can't tell where to go on that track. It looks like you put on a blindfold and were told where to go haha. Excellent driving.

Same here John. But I think it has to do with the person recording, since it's not mounted or anything

Hmm... interesting course.

From a safety standpoint, that long straight scares the **** out of me.

I'm surprised that there aren't any slaloms.

Cool to see more people going out to race though.

It's a course made by the corvette club. They usually don't do slaloms, and they like to use EVERY SINGLE inch of concrete that puts the workers on the outside of the concrete.

I feel like have the same time as the guy in first place if I went to an auto x. But that would because I missed 5 corners and a u turn

I did hit the rev limiter in 3rd gear
But the course was not unsafe by any means. The second half of the course felt super tight

I know. It is indeed a very corvette course.

The layout definitely fall within the safety rules. The other thing to consider is course speed. SCCA tries to keep maximum course speeds between 50-60 mph. Top of 3rd is almost 80 mph IIRC. I'm sure the 'vettes were going faster.

It's just one of those things that you look at and think that it's just not a good idea.

Nah - I've run lots of events at Marina, this is not the fastest course I've run there by any means. There's a ton of space out there.
Honestly I doubt the Vette's were going much faster on the top end than me. With the AWD I could jump throttle SO early and keep control, I don't think anyone could make that straight "longer"
