I"m pretty sure they still have wire.
A lot of car audio shops took a dump because they weren't making money.

Yeah, that is what I told. But people are also telling me if it's like above average equipment/decent power (300 RMS) and you want the best, to might as well go 12 gauge.
I called Guru and AudioWave and they were $.60/ft. I think I might do that, they are 10-15 minutes away and $3. Or I might just do 16 gauge, lol I don't know. I can try the 16 gauge and if it gets warm/hot, then I'll try 12 gauge. If it sounds good, I'll keep it. Thanks for the help guys.

Huh, a new Lowes opened up near me and it was on my way home, so I thought I'd drop by and check if they had it. They had 18-12 gauge and 12 gauge was $0.64/foot. So I got 5 feet for $3.50 and called it a day. The wire is noticeably stronger and thicker than the 16 gauge. Might as well pay a few extra bucks to make sure it would work and not worry or have to redo the wiring later on.

Only thing I'd caution about getting wire from Lowes/Home Depot/etc is that the wires are made for use in a house and not for carrying sound. Usually these wires have only a few strands of copper wire.
You want to get the wire that has a lot of little copper strands for your car audio. Though it will seem as it's not as tough since it's not stiff, it's SO much better for car audio.

Here are some pics, let me know what you think. I think these would be plenty, almost all speaker wire looks like this, even higher end audio brands such as Monster, JL, RF, etc.
