Cape Town Man Dies After Toyota GT-86 Goes Off Cliff

Just read this, the pictures speak for themselves. All I can say is jeez...that's a big drop
RIP

The body of a Cape Town man has been found in his vehicle (Toyota GT-86) down a cliff between Gordon's Bay and Koelbaai. His family feared that his car might have left the road after he was driving on the R44 from Arabella Golf Estate to Cape Town at about 3pm on 13th April 2013. The wreck was found on Monday (15th April) after NSRI saw the car at Dappe Se Gat which is near Koelbaai. Some comments regarding the cause of the accident are the car's skinny tyres (rather ignorant) but others seem to think he might have swerved for baboons or something of the sort. It is a terrible accident nonetheless, RIP.

Too soon man, too ****ing soon. Read the comment above yours. If he was swerving around an obstacle it doesnt matter if it has a turbo or not.

I can't wait for stuff to be OK to laugh at, I might be dead by then. And if I let every bad piece of news from around the world bring me down, I'd be depressed all the time.

It took them 2 days after the accident to find the car; no one knows if there was anything to swerve around. Also, He was coming back from a golfing/country club, and who leaves those sober? Honestly, given what that piece of road looks like he was just as likely to be dodging a dangerous oncoming driver as animals.

My heart goes out to his family and friends, but I can't think of a better way to go than doing what you love - drifting home up a smooth beautiful coastal road sounds pretty good to me. Just look at this spot-

Kinda surprised that there's not more gore. Professional experience dictates that an accident like this is often nastier-looking that what's in the photo of the wreck. :\
