All the cars on the list are pretty expensive except the TC so not anyone in my income bracket.

The tC blows. My girl has one, and the power band on them is sooo bad. I have driven some NA cars that have some violence in the power band, but these things are just gutless. Of course I would never let my girl hear this, but when you can get a TR for 3k more, I mean come on thats a no brainer.

I actually rather enjoyed driving my friend's TC. The car has a bit of torque and the handling ballance is great. With a nice turbo, some suspension, and some sticky tires that car could get around a track pretty well considering its FWD.

I test drove the tC and thought it was rather terrible. No power! Plus the car handles like a boat. For something that isn't very big it sure feels very big and heavy.
The fit and finish was very good - probably some of the best in its price range. And the features you get for the price is pretty impressive. But then I buy cars because they're fun, not because it's a good value.
