i tried out a couple online font matching sites. one site comes close with FF DAX WIDE and the closest thing is FF ADVERT but the end of the strokes are at an angle instead of being vertical...

nope... well dont know if it's from a mazda. it came from a diff application that i'm looking for...

it's plain ol VERDANA.. slightly widened. but it's 99% there. close enough for government work.

not a racing car. it's from the TV show "CHUCK." he works in a BEST BUY like store called BUY MORE. and their GEEK SQUAD is called NERD HERD. in the first couple seasons or so, they drove a yaris. last year they converted to toyota matrix. the cars have the numbers on top since they have like 3-5 cars per store. they call the cars, "nerd herders" which i find very funny.

anyhoo... lately, i'm into racing RC cars. specifically, short course trucks (CORR - for those who remembers it) and i'm painting my trucks to look like that. i mean just about every single ones i see is MONSTER energy drink this, rebdbull that... so i though i'd go in a diff direction.

 

My wife will be able to ID it in a second. She has a BA in design and a BS in advertising (yeah, she was in a school for a long time) and specializes in fonts. I always quiz her with random billboards and such... "OK misses smarty pants... What font is THAT?!". Then she answers correctly within a second or two. The only time she can't ID a font is when it's a custom font, but she will know immediately if it is in fact a custom font.

Anyway, I'll show her this thread and help you out when she wakes up.
