right now it's the ss2 with 430hp
and that will cost you about 37k after the markup goes back to msrp. Chevy is going to have a limited run of the ss with a twin turbo kit that will run $115k and will have 706hp stock. its going to be the zr1 killer and have the new ls9 in it!!!

Both of the SS models, essentially the 1 SS is cloth and the 2 SS is leather, is the LS3 6.2 liter model in both. something like 418 auto and 426 manual hp, same engine as the basic Vette. The automatic, though 10 ft/lbs lower, seems to run both the 1320 and the 0-60 a bit faster than the manual. Chevrolet said they played with the shift points in the aggressive mode, the auto also can run on only 4 cylinders when freeway cruising.
Most important of all though, is that it has INDEPENDENT suspension in the rear...that is totally new for this car, it's comfortable to drive

I saw a few leaving Laguna Seca a few weeks back. they are alright IMO, but I never did like the Camaro. Id drive one before the mustang though.

I actually read the thread on the car and the driver said he went 176, i'm guessing in a school zone, the night before on a brand new car so I don't feel so bad for him now. But i DOUBT he went 176.

Uh well okay, if your going to compare a $150K supercar versus a Camaro, than yeah I guess I like a Lamborghini Gallardo more than my Corvette.
I really like the current pony cars -- the Camaro in black or yellow, the Challenger in black or orange, and the mustang (errr...just the GT500
) in blue with white stripes.......the V6 Camaro has 300HP and better gas mileage than my STi
