I'd be interested in attending, but I'll have to look at my finances. It starts to add up really quick once you start factoring in all the costs.

Man, I factored in the cost of a track day recently, and I just don't think I have any more in store for me anytime soon.
≈ $150 in track fees.
≈ $200 in gas (gas there, gas at the track, and gas home)
≈ $30 (50% of a hotel for the night)
≈ $30-100 in tire use
It just adds up really quick.
BUT... T-Hill is awesome. Wish I could come out.

I did the driving school group with NCRC earlier this year, and it was a great experience. Thunderhill is also a fairly forgiving track (with the except for a couple of turns).
I'd highly recommend NCRC for your first trackday experience. They are super calm and relaxed, but still serious and safe at the same time. If you're slow, they aren't going to call you out and make you feel like an idiot.
I did a day with NASA at Laguna Seca about 7 years ago and it was an absolutely horrible experience, so I'm glad to see NCRC in the game showing that gear heads and speed addicts are NOT all adrenaline fueled dickwads like the NASA guys.

I think I loaned you a helmet for that day at Laguna. I was working Safety Crew back then and had either my R32 or my '01 2.5RS coupe. Was just looking at pics from that day. Sorry to hear it was not fun - I guess I did not realize, but I totally understand what you are saying.
Thunderhill is by far my favorite track. My car still needs a couple things and is just getting suspension finished now, then alignment and tune - but my wife said she would be down to drive once it's ready to go. Not sure when that will be though. I need to check on helmet rules because I read somewhere that one track group was no longer allowing Moto helmets, which is a first for me.
