by the ways, there has been a lot of accidents out there. so be careful. plus, at my work place we were two insistence with two co-worker that got killed there on that road, where the other driver went head on into their vehicles. so we can called extra patrol on that road, just to give you all a heads up.
i work for the city and i am not sure if you know that SFWD has watershed patrol that patrol that road there and they can also get you. FYI.

i love that road too. driving an explorer towing a boat down that road, it is quite an experience and with especially with all those hairpin turns.

That used to be my backyard. I never saw any heat out there. You don't really have to wait that late for nobody to be out there. 10pm on later is usually very quiet. That road is easy going from the Sunol side to Milpitas, but much harder going from Milpitas to Sunol. I'd practice it both ways. Just driving from the Sunol side on the highway part you have to watch out for deers. There are a lot in the open fields. You'd be flying doing your thing and a second later you say to yourself, did i just pass a deer? You kind of see them out of the corner of your eye.
Another thing to watch out for is something green glowing or reflective looking. At first you think it's fireflys but then once get up close it's usually a deer.
Don't go during the day. You'll end up getting frustrated, scared of heights, or have a close call.

Sounds like I may need to find a new road or tone down the speed a bit, but thats no fun when you are by yourself...Thanks for the heads up.
