Phil,
Hey Thanks! Unfortunatley, I'm at work at SSF.
I'm due for my 15k service, you guys do that and how much?
GreenValley is okay for minor stuff, but after hearing about Miguel's (DWNSHFT) fiasco I'm scared, very scared.
I'll have to raincheck on it after the holidays cuz I rack the miles up fast on my commute.
Where are you Tuesday? We should hook up if time permits.
Bill

well we dont actually have specified services for like 15k miles or anything.
at 15k though, your probably due for your 5th oil change (or more if you change it more often than every 3k), possibly a new airfilter (which are every 10-12k) a PCV valve if the air filter gets replaced, maybe wipers, and a check and top off of all fluids.
and a special service at 15k (or every year) is a fuel injector service. we put fuel system cleaner in your tank, and then vacuum induct injector cleaner into the pcv valve line or brake booster line, which ever works best (or is more easily accessible). increase reaction, mileage, keep injectors cleaner longer, etc. etc. good product, as soon as im AOCA certified, ill buy one for my own use.
tuesday im off, so unless i went in early with you or something, it couldnt be done then. i do work friday and saturday though.
EDIT: as for costs, the oil change is 29.99, the air filter can be not more than 20 i think, im not sure because ive never serviced a rex there, and therefore never checked the price on that, and the pcv valve are 6.99
the FI service is 45.99 i think.
BUT i could have gotten all this free a few days ago, but they cracked down and said no more free oil changes for friends. but i can get you 20% off of everything.
oh, and there might be a gasket on your drain plug. hose are .99

It all sounds good. I will probably see you about oil changes after the new year. I'll see what exactly Green Valley does for the money they charge me for 15k service as well.
Probalbly will see you in town since I'm off tomorrow.

Whoa, I remember you clearly now. I was your dad's assist. coach in 98. That was a rough year. After that incident, Michael started talking to me after a year or so. That was the worst Father/Son experience of both our lives. Okay I'm no soccer coach, that's evident. It's better now that I stay out of his sports business.
I remember the suburban now, that thing was a monster. Your dad also had a blue station wagon Subaru, Now he has the WRX? Is it a wagon?
You are probably in your 20's now? Man time flies.
If your buddy lives on Serra Court, You probably seen me outside working on the cars when I was on Serra way. I lived on the outside curve on that street. Had a 2000 Civic Si, that was a nice car, supercharged, totally modded, Awful fuel managment issues and no stickers. Got stolen and ended up with the WRX.
I am REDLINEDWRX on the NASIOC board, but rarely there. Does your dad have any mods in store for his car? Tell him I said hi.
BTW, Miguel's car spent a few months at GreenValley getting warrenty work done. When we meet on the 5th, he should tell you his story. I don't even know how it all ended.

wes remembers that year, he says michael helped him lift that goal post off of that little guy talyor when it fell on his head because wes was hanging on it.
Hmmm.... I can count all the people I raced in that Civic. I raced a Mustang 50 in town, I launched it right when his rear bumper was even with my front bumper. Stayed on his passenger door till Travis Blvd splits to the freeway. I'm wondering if thats the person. He pulled away and had a boatload of people in the car too. No excuses, poor driving skills. He was reving on me like crazy and decided at the last min. to go for it.
Otherwise I don't remember racing anyone else in FF, You get the revers, but they usually don't do anything. I choose my battles very carefully.
Yeah, I still have that cherokee, but it's got problems. Nothing mechanically serious. Turn signal wand took a dump and a sagging headliner.
Its funny, your dad and me.... Two old men in a WRX.

Mine is the black sedan you see every morning at Heath and airbase. No engine mods yet.
I know the guy in the Green Mustang, NATE or something like that. He shoud be ashamed of himself saying he raced me.
I have seen that car and its a nice classic, but it's no quater mile car.
My son idolizes his skateboarding skills though. Yeah, we should have quite a few people at the In-out meet next week.
