bumper, hood, fender, headlights swap? 06 and 05 STI

I'm interested in chaning out my 05 to a 06 front, but nothing has been confirmed whether 06 front parts will fit the 05..

Anyone with a 06 wanna see?

I have time and garage space.. and we can try to see if all the bolts and holes line up to do a complete front swap.

You would need to swap the front part of the frame or something. I was going to do it with mine but switch to bug eye. You need to cut it off and re weld. Seems like a bit too much work.

yeah same prob as swapping out the 02-03 to 04-05, you need all the bolt on parts plus the 06 radiator support that needs to be welded on where your 04-05 one is drilled/cut off. Radiator supprot is what the headlights and bumper bolt to and what the hood latches down onto, they look like this

It kinda grows on you. One reason I like it is because the scoop is smaller since the air flow improved.

though Im sure if your 04-05 front end is in decent shape and you really wanted to you could find someone with an 06 that would be more than willing to swap front ends out straight across with you, I would if I had an 06!

Would turning an STi into a bug eye be cheeper and easier then putting STi drivetrain into bug eye?

Im not sure what your asking here, do you already have a bug-eye you want to make into an STI or do you want to go out and buy and STI to turn into a bug eye?

Eiither way, getting a bug-eye used nowadays is usually only 15K, and finding an STI drivetrain is about 5-6K, new STIs sell for what 32-33K? pretty easy math
