Given your knowledge of english television, is it safe to assume that your name "lorry" refers to the English term for a flat bed truck?

Yup. When we were kids back in England a friend of mine used to call me Lorry because he couldn't spell Lawrence. The name stuck and I think my parents are the only people in the world who actually use Lawrence.
