Damn, that is crazy. If those Military guys weren't there that BMW would have met a different fate. Amazing that the BMW survived and kept everyone safe. I bet they will never buy a different kind of car again.

This is my brother's battalion! He was given a metal day before yesterday from the navy for what they did that day. I believe the family is all good, very minor injuries on the second child.

Props to the crane/lift operator... that was some tight space to a delicately balanced wreck. It could have easy gone all wrong.

I work with these guys three are from the 31ST Seabee Readiness Group and the forklift driver CM2 McCraken is from NMCB 3 they were line hauling equipment back from FT Hunter Ligget up near Paso Robles when this happened. All really good dudes, what they don't tell you on the news is that one of them is getting pushed out of the Navy because of over- manning, but he is still true to his job and duties no matter how screwed over he is getting.
