I have Brembos and I love it when they're covered with greyish brake dust, just like my black, encrusted wheels.

they are dirty and nasty but you know, they will stop better and harder than your painted stock brakes...

Painting the stock calipers a solid color is def not rice.
However, if you painted "Brumbo" or something like that on there, its CLEARLY rice.

Just my 2 cents, but paint away!

I've been thinking of painting my stock REAR calipers flat black to match my StopTechs up front. I dont think thats rice.....I just want my front/rear Calipers to match. <shrug> However, I'd say that if I were to paint my rears any other color, it'd be rice. Just my opinion though.

I some what agree which points out painting the stock green calipers any other color is rice, having all stock green brakes.

But as far as your set up I dont think of as rice.

if you have stoptechs up front, paint away on those rears, no worries

I painted mine red and they look great, easy and cheap. I bought the duplicolor kit from kragen for like 15 bucks, and btw, my car is far from rice. My only exterior mods are painted calipers, sideskirts and sti hoodscoop.
