why would anyone want to paint a set of floating calipers?

I mean, I could understand why people would buy fixed calipers that come painted (brembos, stoptech, etc.), but isn't it pretty lame to paint floating calipers like the stock WRX ones?

Paint or no paint, stock calipers are, in the end, stock calipers...

I would suggest saving your time and/or money on getting some braided lines, Motul fluid, Hawk HPS pads, and some racingbrake slotted rotors.

I mean, at least make them work better, otherwise IMHO you're wasting your time

If its rice to paint brake calipers I guess its rice to paint the dull black side skirts as well.

Nothing wrong with making parts look better...

it's not like it costs that much to do. Just a little paint, and some extra fluid to bleed when you take the calipers off....

I remember doing little stuff like that to my car when I couldn't afford all the money parts. If you like it, go for it. Just make sure you do it right, i've seen people screw up their calipers before.

That goes for painting stock rims too, and headlights. If you think it makes it look a lot better, then just do it.

painting headlights is the exact same thing as painting calipers...its strictly cosmetic...which there is absolutly nothing wrong with
