You might help my bill or something... but You can't stop me from having dropped calls like pimps have hoes.
I'm done with AT&T and I'm esp done with ****ing Apple. Wish I never bought this ****ing phone. I remember when I did I felt like I was breaking some core principle, cause I hated Apple. But I wanted to give them a chance... bad decision...

Update:
Gonna send the Nexus back, haven't even gotten it yet.
We have a family friend who can do 25% off Sprint plan, so that's $97.50/mo Unlimted Voice/Data/Messaging w/ 1500 minutes otherwise for 2 phones. Even with the $175 ETF, after we jailbreak and sell my 8gb 3g, and her 16gb 3GS, we'd have easily paid off that fee, and the phone cost. (we got the 3gs for free using Amex Points we racked up).
So I will be waiting for the HTC Evo release, and probably going with that phone. See what 4g WiMAX is all about.

There's multiple reputable ROMs out right now, but the one I personally use, is DarchLegend: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645491
There's also a lot of others: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=519
I just happened to stumble on DarchLegend, and loved it, so I never wanted to switch and try other ROMs. I believe MoDaCo and DamageControl have great reviews as well.
As for rooting the phone, go here: http://theunlockr.com/2009/08/27/how...-in-one-click/
Before you change your ROM, when you're in the boot menu (when you hold power and home at the same time), MAKE SURE YOU CREATE A BACKUP. It's called nandroid and it'll be there after you root your phone. This allows you to revert back to your old setup in case the ROM doesn't load correctly, or something else went wrong.
Also, what's nice about the Sprint Hero is that it's unbrickable. So, don't worry about bricking your phone by doing this and have fun. (There's an updater, where you can restore all factory settings on your phone even if you brick it, making it work again
) Make sure you back up all your data though, because you're going to need to wipe it all to change the ROM your phone.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, everyone that has an Android based phone, if you don't have a program similar, I'd recommend getting Mobile Defense. It's a free service that allows you to remotely turn on your GPS and see where your phone is if you lost it (obviously the phone has to be on). If your phone is rooted, you can install it as a system app, so it can't be uninstalled too. It also allows you to remotely lock your phone as well. While I've never lost my phone, I've tested all the remote functions and it works great. Their support forum is amazing as well, the developers respond very quickly to any questions. (just realized this sounds like a commercial, but I have no affiliation with them, just like their product and think everyone should have something similar on their phone)

I'm in the same boat as you. Early update is ending on the 29th of this month. If I can't somehow find an Incredible, i'll buy the next best phone. $99 Droid.

I want the Incredible so bad that I'm returning my Eris (which I really like) today to take advantage of the 30 day exchange; then using a backup phone for 2 weeks while waiting for the Incredible.
Yeah...it's that good and so going to be worth it.

So, after 10 years with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T it's time for me to move on. And I really wish I never bought the iphone. I'm so disappointed with myself for ever having even owned an apple product. I feel dirty, and I can't wait to take a dip in the Google Andriod hot spring.
Oh, and I'm not alone. This time next year we will be hearing about how the Iphone's market share of the smartphone segment has shrunken significantly.

^ I'm not a apple person myself but I can tell you that more and more people come into my stores with a Verizon or T moble andriod phone and switch to a iphone so much so thats it's still hard for us to keep them in stock. I still have my verivon blackblack berry and I can tell you that service is ot much different. when I have no service on my iphone i have servic with my verizon blackberry, and it works bolth ways. I spend a lot of time in tahoe and I can tell you that Verizon has very poor service. If you do make the change to Verizon don't port your # over at first, use the 30 day test time with the service and phone before you cancle that wAy you can be sure you like the service and phone you got..sorry fro the spelling this was sent on a phone lol
