Don't listen to him.

15psi is just perfect for now. Make sure that you set is in 3rd gear (or higher). setting boost in 1st or 2nd gear is a no no

Here's why: boost in 1/2 is less than 3/4/5. I think for a 5spd, it's something like 9psi or 10psi in 1/2, and then roughly 14 psi 3/4/5.

So happens is when you set boost in 1st or 2nd, it's over boosts in 3rd, and at times, way too much, like, oh, i dunno, 18psi... Ka Boom.

Happy Self Tuning.

Actually you can set it in 1st and 2nd with no over boosting problems. It all depends on what boost controller/solenoid you're using. Usually you use 2nd because 1st rolls by too fast and you won't get enough resolution to see the boost. Top of 3rd, you're going a bit too fast on the street.

Stock turbo will boost 20~25psi, but anything past 16psi it's just a big hair dryer, blows nothing but hot air. 16psi is about the edge the limit on the stock turbo.

15psi is safe, but if you have a good boost controller that bleeds and maintain boost accurately, you can run it near 16 and not worry about over boosting problems.

Also if you have a gain setting, make sure it's set fairly low, as that will contribute to over boosting, you might get awesome spool up, but you'll be spiking everywhere.
