Bar is in the units as Atmosphere. Try google to find a conversion chart but 1 bar is 14.7 psi.

 

boost gauge measures pressure. amount of boost = pressure increase of intake air into engine.

0.5 bar another means of measuring pressure. i personally like bar, but most people don't know what it stands for. converted to psi, 0.5 bar = 7.251887 psi. 1 bar = 100 kPa = 0.986923 atm = 14.503774 psi.
