yeah, it's $30 now. The sites have raised the rent and the insurance is more expensive these days.

$30? son of a beach.
I'm hoping there will be some 'added value' there somwhere.

4 runs per event?
or
more 90 second monster runs?
or even
a crew of six tv cameras with two diamond vision jumbo visions?

Gagan : come on out and run STX. If anyone *****es, I'll be glad to point out that you smoked their WRX despite giving up a good 60 or so HP to them

As for the entry fee increase : it is the first one in about 4-5 years, and amortized over that time frame doesn't even keep up with the increase in site fees and insurance. Figure on both of those going up 10% (or more) PER YEAR due to high real estate in the Bay Area and the high cost of event insurance. So instead of jacking the event entry fee EVERY year, we tend to go a while until we'd be at the point we'd be screwed if we didn't raise it, then raise it enough to cover another few years.

BTW, once you get into it much, you'll be spending more in tires per event than entry fees anyways

I'll definitely be there. If I don't have the AccessPort yet (I have Cobb Stage 2 now) I'll run SM-ST, otherwise I'll use AccessPort to throw in the STX-legal program and run STX.

ALK = Anti Lift Kit (i.e. from Whiteline, usually, although I believe Perrin makes one now as well). It relocates the rear lower control arm mount on the front wheels to change the geometry slightly (thus why it isn't legal for STX or Street Prepared) and get an extra 0.5 degrees of positive caster.

It IS legal to get the extra caster with a camber/caster plate up top, just not via the ALK. Welcome to the wonderful SCCA rulebook

When you do make sure to lower your suspension! We had a guy autox his rally rabbit, fortuenetly his had a mechanical DNF before he rolled it.

oh yeah,, watch out for that PaulC guy.... His car gets faster every time he hits another 100k miles

woot, i got back up!

I won't be winning anything, trust me. Maybe by the end of the season i'll be a serious competitor, but not right now.

We'll see, the ALKs dont' even help A WHOLE LOT... They help at turn in, but car still understeers, it's not like a Magic Fix for our cars or something.
