The Boiling Crab

Anybody in the area up for some last minute food at the boiling crab in San Jose?

LOL...I've been itching for some seafood but most of my friends are lame and don't want to go "far" or just don't feel like spending some money for food.... -_-

Has anybody been there anyways? I've heard The Boiling Crab and Joe's Crab Shack in SF are on par with each other.

hit me up if you guys wanna go tonight and chill! HAHA

I went with 5 other family members on a Friday night and it took us 3 hours to get a table. They also don't take reservations over the phone.

Food is pretty good and you will get super messy.

It's pretty good and something to try. It does get pretty packed around dinner time though. Expect a long wait.

A

Yep, long wait in line. Don't forget to bring a Sharpie, you can write on the walls there.

Even if the wait is long, whatever u do, don't go to Yummy Buffet across the street lol

Been to Boiling crab once. Waited an hour and some change. I heard stories people would wait up to 2-3 hours. Second time.... waited 20mins just to get name on the notepad.

My go to instead. Crawdaddy which is ~2-5 miles away with half the wait, at least the times I have been there. And to me it feels a lot cleaner. Downside is, its pretty loud inside because the bass is turned up too high sometimes, but the staff is extremely friendly.

Crawdaddy - San Jose, CA

For the most part it started to taste the same to me since I have mine in Medium which is plenty spicy for me.

The other trick to BC is to obviously go early. The two times I went to BC were right before it opened. In fact, one time there was a freakin line!

For those of you in the city, Craw Station near Ninth and Irving is delicious, but the wait can be brutal just like BC in San Jose.
