Body Shops in the North Bay

Hey guys,
My Saabaru was involved in an accident on highway 1 yesterday and I am in the process of sorting it all out with my insurance company.
I am 18 years old and have never been in an accident, so all this is very new to me.
If anyone could give me some advice on what to do or especially any good body shops in the north bay that would be very helpful!

One guy part of our north bay meets on i-club recommended G&C in San Rafael? I am more north in Santa Rosa area, but has anyone gone to them or know of good places?

All the damage seems to just be bumpers, and body parts, nothing internally is messed up from what I can tell so far.

It was a narrow part towards tomolas. Big truck with 4 wheels in the back was sticking out into my lane and I was already taking the turn kind of wide touching the double yellow middle of the road and I had to correct back far into my lane really quick to avoid him on the turn and hit a barbed wire fence in the bushes that then landed me into a ditch on the other side of the road. Was only going 40mph in 4th gear on a 35mph turn. Just happened to fast because we didn't see each other due to a tree at the turn.

Really not stoked about the $1,000 deductible and finding saabaru parts..

Lwt me give u an advice, do NOT take ur car to the G&C in santa rosa. 2 of my close friends are as wr speak now, in a court battle with tjem. They did a terrible job and they had tp come back to "re fix " their cars. Not worth it. Idk about the one in petaluma or san Rafael. But wat ever u do, don't take it to Sr. Take it too Guanela auto body. Lacey took hers ther nd they did an amaizing job. They used OEM parts. And not after market parts that look OEM. That's my advice

So my insurance co is having an appraiser check it out on Thursday. Praying that it doesn't get considered a salvage title b/c some of the shops I went to today said that the repair costs will be close. After that going to find a good place to get hopefully most of everything fixed. I may be doing most of the prep stuff myself to save some money

I dont think you can usually claim aftermarket parts after an accident, you usually have to claim a dollar amount before on aftermarket parts.

Just take the aftermarkets off and sell them.

My coworker crashed his wrx a few months ago and was asked if he had any aftermarket parts when it was getting appraised.

Supposedly if it has more money into it then its worth more and ull get more $$.
