Blue Bat Overlays on 2011 hatch need help!
Hey guys,
So i bought a set of bluebatmobile overlays for my 2011 wrx hatch. I tried doing it myself but messed up big time the ones that fold around the rear left with creases in the vinyl. Ugh so lame.... So i was wondering if anyone installed them and they turned out normal and looked like regular lights? right now it looks terrible! If anyone around the area would like to help me to that would be great i live in santa clara.....I can pay for someone to help me. I think i have to reorder the set....

Did you use any type of solution between the lens and overlay or did you put them on dry? You need to use some water with a little bit of dish soap in them.
Put that on, position your overlay, then with a squeegee type device (credit card will work if you are in a pinch) work from the center out to the edges to remove the moisture.
Once you have most of it out, use a blow dryer or heat gun to even everything out and set them.
Pretty easy, you just need to take your time and work slowly from the center of the tail light out to the edges.

If you don't mind paying for quality work with a lifetime guarantee, PM Krinkov (Jeremy)..he works on Ferrari's and Bugatti's usually but he has a soft spot for Scooby brothers..he does quality work.

ugh, yeah I hate doing the new impreza tails, I have a roll of red film here but just stopped offering it since they are such a PITA, and Ive been installing film for years! you actually did better than expected for your first try, bet you really got into trouble once you got to that raised ridege wrapping around the corner.
What soulution were you using and what were u using to squeegee it down with? the problem is vinly shrinks when you heat it, but you also need a bit of help to get it to stretch, so theres a fine line between enough heat to stretch and just having it shrink/wrinkle in your fingers

thanks bud but nah, Ive done some vinyl work but it always takes me alot longer than someone who just does vinyl all the time. I know clear bra/vinyl/window tint all kind of look the same but they all install a bit different, and Im just too busy with clear bras to invest the time and effort to get 100% at vinyl/window tint, so I just have people I refer that work to.

I installed the bluebat overlays myself and if you take your time, it should come out just fine. I used a spray bottle with some soapy water and a hair dryer. Based on those pictures, I'm guessing you didn't use any solution to apply the film or maybe not enough cause if there was some solution, you could pull the vinyl to get rid of those creases.

dont feel bad I also tried and failed with red laminx film last weekend. It's such a pain to do, so i called mr tint and they will install them for 100 bucks, i think its kinda a lot but as long as i dont have to do it i guess its worth it....
