ouch...Harsh they are. To tell you the truth I didn't relize it was an STI until after I posted....Hey now I am 19 now not 17 and thats how I am a repoman. Also you say i can't drive.....HAHAHAHA. I got my first Go Kart when i was 8 years old. Lets just say i know what im doing. I grew up with all my older friends driving pumped up camaros and stangs and by pumped up i don't mean exhaust and intake....I'm talking charger,Nitrous, cams ect.......I'm not a number one driver but i can handle 300hp especially AWD...One more thing.....My STI is not 300Hp and thats my secret.........hmmmmm I hope i am not making people mad i just love fast cars.Subie love to all:banana:

No prob man, I just dont like hearing "Don't knock on others because you want an sti". Nobody around here cares what you drive and I would be a ***** if I thought I was better than anyone here because I thought my car was better than anyone elses, besides, theres quite a few non-STIs on this board that could blow my doors right off!

I said "typically" in my first post, and it's nice to see an anomoly. Glad to see a young STI owner with skills at the wheel.
Mad, I think not.

This subject is getting out of hand. I don't think i am better than anyone else because i drive a STI. I agree with Krinkov about some of the other non-sti's that could blow my doors off. I just love Subies in general. Now bveing 19 and having an STi has downfalls... Lets not even get into my car payment. Much Subie love to all....Enjoy the storm today....

1,400 is nothing. I was paying 2,500 a year in insurance for 2000 2.5RS (the wrx hadn't even been announced as coming stateside back then) -- completely clean record, but like sicksti, I was on my own (was 19 then as well). Anyway, I sold the car when I quit my job so I could finish school without the strain of paying off both the car and the car insurance.
SickSTI, you're obviously making a decent bit of money -- just make sure to plan for the future, i.e. get a college degree. It might seem like you can do fine without one now (hell I thought the same thing), but it pays off in the end -- and is worth every bit of sacrifice you make to do it ( I'm driving an '89 accord now afterall). And if you decide you're really not interested in school, consider putting some of your money towards getting a house or saving up in general -- which is another thing I would have done given a second chance. If you were to sit down and think about how much you're paying for 1. rent 2. car 3. insurance, and how in the end most of that money is lost (rent and insurance -- and the car depreciates) when you could use it for payments on a house and actually make money (and a lot of it at that)... that's just my .02 though, and am prob. the only one that thinks someone your age should consider those options...
