Bird crap
Well, due to the massive crapping at the UCD meet, I was curious how you guys view bird poop? Do you say, "OMG, my paint job" and wipe that crap up, even bare handed? Or are you just non-chalant about it and say "Whatever, as long as the car runs it's good."
If I remember correctly, bird crap has acids in it that can potentially ruin the car paint or at least the finish.

I keep one of those synth Chamos in my trunk they stay moist in that tube. I use that to clean off any bird crap. It will etch the paint if you don't get it off.
as i was saying earlier... i don't noe what those davis birds are eating. i had too many hits to count. my mom kept pointing out new ones that i missed while i was washing my car. there was one tough sucker too. it wouldn't come of with just soap and water. i had to rinse and repeat. TWO TIMES!!!
we really need a new spot for the davis meets.

I always wipe it off with a wet paper towel when I get home. Oh, and AdoboUaReX, Alex made it so that only technical forum posts count. D'oh!

Keep a decent coat of wax on, and you can slack on the bird crap until your next normally scheduled wash. You know, when you finally can't take look your car in the eye anymore without promising to give it a bath.
Wax it, wax it, wax it. My truck is a prime example of what bird crap can do to an unprotected finish. Mazda used a white base coat under black paint and after 10 years of use and abuse, it is almost as much white as black from chips, scratches and bird droppings. Unfortunately for me, I have a huge oak tree with about 8 woodpeckers living in it right over my driveway. I know of a pellet gun solution for this problem, but those damn birds are a protected species and my neighborhood is full of fern feelers, so I don't think I could get away with it. Instead, I have to keep the car cover on my Subie whenever it's in the driveway.
