Where in the bay? There's southern lumber in SJ. I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to sub enclosures, but aren't you supposed to make it out of heavy materials to deaden any kind of vibrations?

The basic's of the box im working on is a birchwood frame with a fiberglass/carbon fiber enclosure and sound deadening sandwiched between layers of the weave...its more or less a rough prototype, but I think it should work pretty well.

I was going to say southern lumber. I haven't been there in a while but I have gotten both 7 and 13 layer baltic birch ply from there(custom ordered). SWEET resonance, and very light. Very warm wood.

This is one of my boxes with 7 layer Grade A baltic birch(0 knots and smooth as a baby's ****)
