so ive had this freaking annoying belt squeak when i run my a/c for a while now, so i started to search the forums to see how to go about adjusting the belts to make it stop.

well after reading every thread i could find, i was convinced it was a piece of cake and went for it.

long story short i went about it all backwards and ended breaking the belt adjuster on the idler pulley

lucky for me my local subaru dealer had one on the shelf and i replaced it no problem but since i was doing everything wrong i couldn’t figure out how the Fn CRAP this belt tensioner worked!

so i AIM'd Dan and bam! he explained it to me in -stupid- and i was able to apply tension to the belt properly

so that’s my Friday! haha

haha whats sad is how simple it was, and here i went and screwed it up royally

btw i went and ordered myself a subaru service cd of ebay

did you get the one with the tech training too? thats what I got...but I dont understand the tech training....its like a "Subaru 101" class for each section of the vehicle (has a 4eat section though :banana: )
