BIG F'n Spider!!

This was in the middle of the street. The web went from one side of the street all the way to the other.

The body was about 1 inch big, with the legs it's about 2 inches. This thing was huge!

Any spider experts out there. Im curious what kind of spider this is.

thats ok for the city i guess its big. mtn spiders are way scarier tho. Wood spiders have legs that make them 4" diameter total, then there are brown recluses and sometimes black widows and tarantualas that are black and hairy. Tons of scorpions too.

mm, reminds me of a few months ago at my friends moms place in paso robles, there was a huge tarantula crawling on the house a few feet away from us.

haha, and to think that I used to play with them growing up. We'd have spider fights on wooden sticks back in the Philippines...Nothing bigger than an inch though...I've been bit once too while I held it and even when I was trying to shake it off, the F'er was still latched to my palm and wouldn't come off. After a couple of minutes, I had this nasty bump on my hand kinda like a bee sting...Ouch.

And No, I didn't get any special powers like webs shooting off my wrist
