It's suddenly hit me like a hurricane -- that hankering for a tall glass of eggnog! BAIC'ers, which store bought brand is the best and why? I absolutely refuse to make my own because I'm a lazy fawk, so please don't recommend I do that or give me recipes.
Also, bonus question: what's your favorite "spike" to add to said eggnog?

Straus (http://www.strausfamilycreamery.com/?id=20)
Fancy pants but really tasty, close to homemade and made locally (in Marin).
For mixing, good ol' Lucerne Low fat Eggnog is my favorite. I stick with Christian Brothers Brandy because its tradition.

I had the Strauss stuff earlier this year, and it was too thin for me. I usually really like their dairy (when I use it, which is rare cause I'm lactose intolerant) but the egg nog was not thick enough for me.

I really like the lucerne, i would be down to try the clover organic though.
I had the urge hit me on the way home from work yesterday, and it just taste better when you get the urge vs just drinkin it becuase someone has it
no spiking though, booze + dairy product = fail stomach

I really don't like the creamy texture of full fat eggnogs so I get clover low-fat. Love it, or the save mart low fat...I think its called sunnyside farms, but anything low fat is what I like.

Ironic considering your screen name.
Low-fat is for girls. Full fat or nothing for me.
