Agreed. Kids can make up what ever they want. I loved Tinkertoys too when I was a kid.

oh god, this picture just brought back so much of my forgotten youth, you just made my day lol. I remember fighting over who got the facescreen for their helmet (because they would always mysteriously pop off) and who could build the cooler spaceship with the blue windscreens and little shifters in the cockpit!

and digging through the spread of legos that spanned 5 square feet for that one black slant piece that you could never find!! HAHAHA

GOOD TIMES!!!

(im going to walmart tomorrow!)

Oh man.. That falcon would go nice with my star destroyer. My sister bought me one for christmas... I tell myself it's just like a puzzle and not a kids toy. Haha..

I used to LOVE legos - and that car is the top of the line as far as the Technic kits go - this is the AWD V8 one with the working transmission. I had the older and larger one with the square-piston V8, RWD and a working 3speed transmission. I tricked it out like mad and actually learned a lot about suspension and stuff with it. My pops made me give my legos away when I was like 14 - gave my car to this neighbor kid and he destroyed it. 3 years later a shark bit off his right arm. Karma is a **** sometimes (actually you just shouldn't surf in Kona at night).

the red car is RWD, but an open slip differential I think, great car though!

Ya I was all into legos back in the day. They gave me a lot of inspiration for building things. I remember I used to have this set..

Reall? A co-worker of mine had the black version of that car - looked the same but had black pieces instead of red - and it was definitely AWD. Looked exactly the same w/ the engine and seats and etc.

My car I had was red but not as streamlined as that one, and it was RWD but it was also rear engine. It had flip up headlights that actually worked... Much better than the 'car chassis' they had first... Anyone remember the original dragster? Haha... lego OG.

AWD lego's? hot damn, mine was most certainly RWD

I suppose it doesn't matter that much, limited slip differentials are a bit beyond lego haha....
