done. you must have some wealthy friends because i see the ribs on their dinner menu for $23, can't imagine it'll be that much cheaper for lunch.

Nah, they're not rich. There's actually specials for under $10 there for weekday lunches. It's take out, I think, for that at least.

don't forget bo's bbq in lafayette, its been rated as the best in the state, but overpriced imo.

I feel back forthy in pH should be taken off the list.

added. there's some places that i didn't want to list, but since some members recommended it i'll put it there. there's yelp reviews, so i guess we can do more research on if we want to try certain places or not.

went to Gorilla BBQ just at first. had the pork ribs. not a big fan of their sauce. meat is good, but i still prefer E&J out in berkeley or fruitvale. it's pretty good for being so close by. it's on par with Johnson's on San Bruno in SF.

i went yesterday. unless i'm craving for ribs or need a quick bbq fix, i wouldn't come here again. then again, i would probably just head to E&J if i'm craving for ribs. other than the all you can get bbq sauce and ice cream, there isn't much to write about this place.

I think the Jack London one is the best personally. plus you get that awesome lemonade.

really? i haven't been there in a long time, so perhaps they are better now. i just remember the couple times i went, there was no smokeness in the meat compared to the other E&Js that i have been. if you don't mind me asking, which other E&Js did you try?
