All of our Sponsors (whom clubbed together to fund this trip) and Chris Rado and crew for being kind enough to transport our jalopy with their rig.

All the people above lend their own personal time (the car doesn't even reside in GST anymore) to prepare/modify her often late into the night or even all weekend. All I seem to do is either man the grill or punch a few keys on the laptop on the occasion the car gets on the dyno (I have also been known to manage to bribe the hotel into letting us have a pool party at 1am on Monday morning but that's another story!).

 

Congrats!! Just imagining what the time could have been if it hadn't rained on Sunday.

Yea I get a fair amount of stick for that, the play by play is as follows,

Jeff went out and did 5 laps to take a look at the track in the first session.

The second session Jeff went out on the wastegate spring map (22.5psi give or take) and did a outlap, a flier and a in lap which resulted in the 1:23.594.

Jeff went out again to try and put a faster time in and came back in reporting the track was covered in crap and wanting to put fresh tires on and run the medium boost map with more rpms first thing Sunday morning so we wrapped it up and prepared for Sunday.

Woke up Sunday to soaking rain filled track.

Slapped on some rain slicks added about 9 camera's to see how the rain came off the aero and sent Jeff out to have fun for one session.

That's one bad *** Subaru, are the other cars you compete against have the work you have into your car? I have seen some cars that you guys compete against and they still have interior and no cage? Am I missing something here? The cars don't even look in the same Class as the GST car!

 

Wrong. They ALL have cages and as far asvi know NONE have interiors. Too much weight. The cars they compete against pretty much as a whole have MUCH larger budgets. Rado has put millions into the scion development for example.

Honestly it really depends, given the format for GTA it's not unusual for us to be out on the track at the same time as street class cars as it's a format where every lap from every session can count. There are plenty of cars out there that put our car to shame from a budget perspective we just make up for our $0 budget by building everything we need as talent wise we're resource strong.
