That worked for me until an officer spotted me at the same place over a couple week period. Thankfully I had also lagged on getting my license that time. If you get your CA ID/DL, it's a good idea to get the car registered soon thereafter as they get extremely grumpy if you are a CA licensed driver driving a car that is registered to you in another state.

 

I actually live down the street from the highway patrol. They don't even give me a second look. Sadly, I lost my OR license soon after moving back so I have a CA one now. I'll register it come August, once I've had the car over a year.

I've seen your and your gf's car around the worst apartment complex known to exist a couple times now, saw both your cars at 36th and Edison on Monday night I think. Just saw her again on Hillsdale I think around 6pm but could be wrong on the time. I have seen a couple other WRXs around too, a WRB and a silver '08+. This place sucks so bad. Cars getting broken into like mad, my car-port burned down two months ago, still boarded up, people kicking down patio fences and stealing stuff like crazy. Someone vandalized my Justy in my parking spot so I am parking it on the street till we can GTFO this **** hole. Two more days. You didn't move here did you?

Not that I could see, probably just drunk fools messing around. My car is pretty messed up anyway. The latest temporary parking spot is pretty far away so I just brought it closer for tonight. I'll check it out more tomorrow. I noticed it when I walked by as I had a Garfield stuck to the hatch window and it was torn off (suction cup and part of a paw left haha). Didn't have much time to check it out but looked like someone was trying to climb on it or tip it over or something silly. Thankfully my rack and deflector are still there.

I just checked it out and I guess I over-reacted again. Someone did tear my Garfield off my car but, living in the ghetto, that is bound to happen. Has not in the twenty years I have been doing that, and it's not nice to tear things off of people's cars, but I just wanted to come back and comment that I don't think anyone damaged my car other than that. My car has loads of vertical door impacts and dents/scratches but I don't think any of that happened this time.

 

i what you mean by living in the ghetto. when i used to live in the east side of san jose and when i had my civic which later got stolen. i came home one night and saw a fat mexican guy sitting on my hood talking on his cell phone. when i went over and opened the door he ****ing asked me if it was my car. i told him you see me open the door right? he cared to answer back with a "oh, oh" and walked away.
