BAY AREA sighting post here.
I'm new coming from bmw world no one ever says hi to each other unless they know each other from the forums and have been to meets and even if they did it would always turn into a competition of who's dick is bigger and can switch lanes the fastest. 
. Since having my 2011 for 2 months i've only received acknowledgment once from a super old legacy. I always heard before jumping ship that Soob owners are the most friendly but everytime i see a modded STi/WRX/Legacy they always just look straight ahead and ignore lol. i don't want to look like a retard sometimes trying to say hi to others that will just give me the wtf look so lately i've just been ignoring them as well. If they look over i give the head nod that's about it.
My hatch isn't stock either. I'm assuming it used to be much more of a community that would always throw thumbs or the deuces?

around 12:08pm spotted a white 2011 wrx with exhaust and red rally armors smashing down 101N and exited on oregon expy. 3:15pm saw sti hatch in los gatos that read "GUBYSTI".
