Bay Area race gas?

Heya, I was wondering where you all buy your race gas? Maybe we should start a thread with current locations and prices.

What octane are you looking to achieve?
There are a number of 76 stations that carry 100.
For example the 76 at the botton of hwy9/big basin.

Why run race gas on a street car though?

A few years ago I used to use a race gas map every now and again when I had money to burn. San Leandro, Sunoco I think? Can't remember. But the cost was exorbitant. Good for an extra 30whp/50ftlbs over 91.

are you tuned for it? on a stock car it wont really make a big difference and would be like literally burning money

Just because the higher Octane is less likely to knock does not mean the ECU will automatically run higher boost/ more aggressive AFR, as it wont know what fuel is in the car, it will only go to what it normally needs to run, sees no knock and assumes the fuel grade is adequate for the factory parameters and call it a day.
