So after playing NHL 09 the other night at my buddies, I picked it up last night after work. What an amazing game. When I was at best buy they didn't have any copies on display and luckily they had 2 in the back. I highly recommend this game. NHL 08 won sports game of the year and 09 is getting even better reviews.

Get it back! I spent a couple hours last night playing the be a pro mode. (Before and after my dodgeball game.) It's where you make a player after yourself/someone and then play only that character. You start off on the lowest line depending on the position you choose and work your way up. You also get to choose what kind of player you are going to be ie. playmaker, sniper etc. It is awesome and really fun. It took a while getting used to positioning because I am so used to switching players. Also, you control your player when he enters and exits the ice. When off the ice you rest and watch your team play. I am currently on the Sharks AHL team. The game is a blast.

Madden has a similar mode.
My QB Superstar is 130/146 with 2874 yards and 22 TDs (9 of them run in) and 6 INT in the first 10 games in my rookie year (sadly, as a Redskin, but I'm hoping to get picked up by a better team after playoffs).

Whenever I get back I'll try be a pro on NHL09. I don't see myself getting it back soon though lol.
