just wanna say that you guys rock. everytime i come in here there is like 20 somethin people browsing in here. back in my hawaii forum(which i thought was busy) the traffic is light in comparison to this!

if anyone of ya come out to hawaii look me or anyone else for that matter from HIIC and just cruz. . .

I miss Honolulu... I miss Rainbow Drive-In plate lunches, I miss boogie boarding at Sandy's, I miss Times Coffee Shop's fried rice in Kailua, I miss Yummy's and Gina's Korean food, I miss Grace's mochiko chicken, I miss gunning it through the H3 tunnel, I miss Ala Moana and all the hot Japanese tourist gals, I miss buying weaponry at IMP, I miss airsoft at Power Edge (or Nu'uanu Elementary School at night ), I miss KCCM Birthday Bash, I miss Hawaiian Brian's, I miss Toilet Bowl at Hanauma Bay (closed and off-limits the last 3 times I went there ), I miss racing at Campbell Industrial, I miss laughing at rice rockets in Ewa Beach, I miss special family dinners at Willow's, I miss Hawaiian food buffet night on Wednesdays at the Parc Hotel Waikiki, I miss wearing boarshorts and rubbah slippah's everyday no matter what the occassion, I miss watching mokes slap tourists around, I miss Happy Hour at Ryan's, I miss Kaka'ako Kitchen, I miss Ward Centre...
Damn now I really wanna go back

 

I have been out there a few times, but I am mostly on Maui when I go out there, I have talked to the one and only Maui I-clubber that is on the island (MauiJammer)...and we were supposed to meet up....but unfortuneatly our schedules didnt allow for a meeting. < shrug > I havent heard from him in awhile so I dunno if he is still on the boards.

I miss the mainland (Cal/Nevada in particular) - the great expanse of country, the seasons, the brisk winter bringing out the stately dress, the glamour of the big city, J-Town in SF, road trips, hot Latinas, big city lights, Scandia amusement parks, Universal Studios, shopping, watching professional sports events, the long stretches of beautiful 5-lane interstates just begging to be driven aggressively, the old hot rods that would come out to a Tognotti's cruise night, big name bands having concerts in your backyard, BET, redwoods, mountains, forests full of conifers, Vegas, excitement, night life, tall Caucasian girls who look down on me and think I'm "cute" cuz' I'm a short little black haired guy, the Presidio, touring historical monuments, the GG bridge, the juke joints in SF city proper, concord, lafayette, walnut creek, Filipinas from V-town and San-jo, visiting my boys at Berkeley and getting crunk, Sacramento Downtown Plaza, Arden Faire mall, Arco Arena, Del Taco, Sutters Fort, casinos, good drivers, farmland, PCH, affordable rent (not counting what you guys SF proper pay for sure), CSUS (even though it was full of rednecks at heart like me), Sacramento Raceway Park where my BPU Talon would blow out 13.5's all night long on homemade mods - with real scoreboards!, Raley's supermarkets (HUGE), Old Sacramento, the garment district (I'm a clothes horse), Gaslight in SD, Balboa Park in SD, the hotties from UCSD, Seaworld, house parties, the hot pharm. sales reps from Merck, real Mexican food, snowboarding, long weekend benders in Sonoma, the Exploratorium, Winchester Mystery House, Lake Tahoe weekenders...

Man, there's so much about the mainland that's awesome - except... It's not home where I have friends that I've known for 25+ years.

I think I'm a displaced Californian living in Hawaii though.

Damn now I really wanna go back
