Bay Area folks, anyone know new MINIs?
I am considering a 2007 Cooper S, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about these cars. Not looking for whether or not it would be hella cool to own one, just more along the lines of known issues, or how they deal with Bay Area/CA gas and roads, etc.
TIA!
TIA!

I'd say probably check out a mini forum. I've also thought about a newer Cooper-S but dunno if I could actually do it. I thought you had an R32 or did you get rid of it?

I was looking at trading in my wagon for an S a few months back, with the JCW package but I wouldn't have been able to fit my golf clubs so that was a deal breaker for me.
Just road in my friends moms. It's brand new, and unfortunately auto w paddle shifters...
dude it feels pretty damn fast, I think it'd be an awesome car for canyons. I really was impressed at the torque and how quick it got to 60.........def seems in wrx territory.

Mt gf has a 05 s with 70k on her now. Not a issue with the car yet, it's a BMW so I guess it will last and run great forever. Gas is great, we get about 33mpg hwy and a average of about 26mpg

My GF has an '07 S, she loves it...excellent gas mileage if you don't stomp on it (shes gotten 36 on the fwy). around 28k out the door brand new, no nav or leather (they said the leatherette is actually better), but its got HIDS, 17's, 6spd man, traction control, a "sport" button akin to SI Drive... not much room to stretch on longer trips, but otherwise its comfy. and just about everything is covered in service for 3 years, including windshield wipers...
