Bay Area ECU Tuner

Hey guys. I installed a Greddy/Trust Ti catback on my 06 STi and its thrown the CEL and the cruise control wont work. Any tuners in the Bay Area do ECUTek tunes or something close. I dont really want to spend $1,000 on a tune... Thanks!

Do you already have EcuTek? Otherwise you have to buy the license and that will cost an arm and a leg too so might as well get an AccessPort. If you already have EcuTek then call the shop at 510-264-9049.

Or you can do it for free using Enginuity.

Where are you located in the Bay Area?

Ecutek is really not the way to go these days unless you purchased a license in the past. Give me a call and we can discuss your options.

Thanks

I'd have to agree due to the AP's portability, with it's small control needed, and the price difference. To get the same features the AP has, ECUTek needs DeltaDash, while that itself gives you a TON more features than the AP, it's still needed just to get the features of the AP, and most other people won't use DeltaDask to it's fullest extent. Not to mention the fact that very few tuners still have the ECUTek tuning license.

Oh well, I like my ECUTek, and have found one amazing tuner that has always put a smile on my face.

Car Info: you've got an electrical problem.
Talk with autohq on getting your ecutek tuned. Shiggy is the director of ecutek japan.

Do you have your stock rom file from your ecutek tuner?
I can hook you up with a quick road tune. We can reflash your ecu back to stock and keep your ecutek lic intacked. I have the ecutek software for doing such.

Openecu is the way to go if I had to do it all over again. Cheap, As much control as ecutek, More control then cobb ap and I have full control over my ecu.

When shiggy comes back over from japan. I plan to have him retune my car using ecutek.

It looks like he doesn't have any form of EM, so it really wouldn't make sense for him to pay for an Ecutek license. OpenECU is another good option.

Only catback causing cell-light? Did you change DP with it? If not, I don't see how a catback could cause a cell light to be on. Better find out the cell code soon to rull out it's not something else.
