they aren't all like this... i have a good friend who is a sheriif in calaveras county, but it just seems like the majority of bay area cops are full of **** 90% of the time...

I'm sorry, but **** HIN and that whole ****ing culture. It's awful, stupid, and you're simply asking to be pulled over.

Why even associate yourself with a culture of street racing, and lets face it, many of go to HIN/HID and NOPI shows are street race punks. Why even put yourself in that situation?

Yes, the hood scoop is stock on a subie, but it's not on most other cars, and that would mean the car is modified. Cops aren't going to know that. They see mods, they dish out the tickets. It's illegal, you risk getting a ticket if you break the law, pretty simple.

most people in general dont know a thing about cars.

go to a gas station and ask random people what the hood scoop's function is..... im sure maybe 1% would say the correct answer.

exactly what i said in my post...i have yet to be helped or know of anybody that has been helped by a cop in the bay. but on multiple occasions have been profiled, and been a recipient of absolutely BS tickets. put it this way, my ins company laughed when i told them what my "other" violations were and i still have to pay more because of them.

those that know me will agree that i will take full responsibility for a ticket i have earned...i drive like a paranoid convict and still get tickets...ive gotten 8 moving violations since ive gotten home from the military 4 years ago and only deserved one of them...

there is no justice in a system designed to generate revenue...period.

You make an extremely valid point here. The whole HIN, HID, NOPI stuff is really stupid to me IMO. Cops know that they will get people that go to these events because of like you said, people that show up to these are usually street racing punks.(And Ryan, I am not calling you one a street racing punk, its just own opinion.)
And Ryan, dude i feel for you. The area that we live in SUCKS for cops. And it doesnt help that both of us live less than a mile from the police station. I totally agree with what someone said above " **** COPS"
