I work in the Financial District in SF and take the BART to and from Union City every single day. This strike is totally going to mess me up. With having to go to school in the evenings, I've got to rearrange my work schedule.

I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do just yet, but I'm going to catch a ride with a few coworkers who live in my area. I'm not too sure if this is going to be a full time fix though, as I don't know if I can rely on these coworkers too often.

Anyone else work in the City and takes BART? If you do, what do you plan on doing?

 

One of my coworkers commutes from the city down to Cupertino daily. He usually catches the 'bullet' from SF to... Mt. View? Something like that? Anyways, I think there's some CalTrain stops over in the east bay - you might wanna look into that. They recently revamped the trains and schedules from what I understand, although I have no idea what they were previously, nor what they are now. A fountain of useful information, aren't I?

I guess the coast isn't completely clear. As I understand it, there's a possibility that the "tentative" contract could be rejected or revoked, which means there could still be a strike.

I hear it would be a repeat of the 96-97 strike.
