Bandwidth Test
Test your ISP Bandwidth. See if you're getting what you pay for.
I used the closest test site to me that I could find. Looks like I'm right on par for the arm and leg that I'm paying to Comcast. It works for "Battle Field 2" anyway.
Down Load: 4115 KBPS
Up Load: 361 KBPS

I'm sure things like Time of day, location, and home wiring are a big factor. So if your connection looks slow it can probably be fixed.

Just curious, but what ISP's do you guys use? Why would they give you greater upload speed than download? I guess if it's for work and you need to send big files it's ideal.

Many offices use either a T1 connection or a SDSL connection in order to get some sort of SLA from the provider, which tend to be symmetric. Other poeople in the office reduces the download speed, but upload speed isn't usually, high, so they shower higher uploads than downloads.

my cable in my apt in socal is faster...well not for the upload part though.
