Granted, I dont work in retail, but when people are late for interviews I give, they get to turn around and go back out the door.

Same with more than 2 spelling errors on your resume.

I have never been in a group interview but don't sweat it. If they called you back that fast it just means they really need to fill some positions. You already have the job.
Don't lean too much, I would keep looking relaxed(its better to look relax than lean forward and look funny). You can instead use other body languages such as looking at the interviewer( in the eye if facing you) and make sure you look at whoever is speaking including other interviewees, as respect. nod, smile, appropriately to let them know you're paying attention. I've done a few group interviews in the past, nothing to sweat over, its just easier for them to weed out applicants.

I was expecting that too, but they didnt turn me away. It was because I was late and they were willing to give me a chance that I kind of stood out from the rest of the people interviewing, but then again; it's only a retail job, not a career interview.

And the BR at VF; theres either people who have been working there for a long time or there's seasonal people.

2 errors? You shouldn't have any! Anyone writing a resume should have enough time to go over your resume...

For retail job, if you're a little late and can tell a good story, crack a few jokes it should ok. Most retail managers are cool kick back people(you pretty much have to be), if they're not, you wouldn't want to work for them anyhow.

1 error I am willing to forgive - nobody is totally perfect. The second error I will forgive only if its a tough homonym or something that lots of people miss.

I was an assistant manager at Banana Republic for a while, and I really think you guys are giving the hiring manager too much credit. They're hiring for the summer, probably a 3-month trial period, and if afterwards they like you, you get to stay on. Yea, expect crappy hours (believe me, I know, I was the scheduling manager). First, the position in "non-sell", and it basically mean stock. You would be working for the "merchandise presentation" side of the store (the other side is "customer experience"). Anyways, for a summer job, they are just looking for spots to fill, so don't worry. Just answer as many questions as you can, and try not to be annyoing/weird. Although, the hiring manager at our store would always hire the worst and most annoying people, so if you're one of those, it may work in your favor. By the way, which store are you applying for?

If you have any other questions about the job, let me know. I'd be happy to answer them.

I work for Gap Inc. corporate.

My friend used to work at BR in the stock room. Don't sweat it - act professional, courteous, be on time. They aren't looking rocket scientists.
