I don't really care that the first Impreza ran for 8 years with only a slight refresh. To me that's more honest than the 'General Motors-esque' bodywork changes on the same exact chassis.
If you think it is only GM that does this, you guys are smoking something. Mecedes does this, Bimmer does this (check out the new facelift on the 7 series), Jag does this (the XK has used the same frame design since '78!), Ferrari does this (the new 430 is 90% the same structure wise as the 360) etc. etc. etc. This isn't General Motors-esque, it's a fact of life in the entire automotive industry.

Jeeeeeeez. Chill dude. I used GM as an example. Thanks for the rundown. And yes, I am smoking something.

BTW.. you are wrong about the Jag and it's XJ not XK (XK is the 2dr and is unchanged since introduction).

I'd hit it!!! Wagons are the ****. Its doesn't what kind of face you put on 'em they still rule. I just hope Subaru 4 pots/2pots stay on the boat and don't decide to jump off somewhere in the middle of the ocean.

I need to quit posting from work. I'm all wound up and *****y. Nothing personal. And sorry, I didn't specify about the XK. The XK, though not changed since the inception on that specific name, ustilizes the same basic frame as the XJ-S which was created back in '78. So the XK frame is infact nearly 30 years old.

Back on subject, I actually like the new nose. It's not the best looking thing out there, but it is different which I like. Then again, you probably shouldn't listen to me since I also think the Bugeyes look better than the 04 and 05 models.

They need to stop redesigning the front end and make a coupe version already that's not as ugly.

I think it may just be a case of color. If that wagon was WRB I think it would just look as fugly. I think I have new wallpaper tho.
