BAIC saltwater fish tank thread

Hey guys! Figured most of us have the same hobbies. Anyone into salt water fish tanks?
I've had a 30g mixed reef for over a year now. It's not a biocube but is an all in one jbj rimless.

What kind of tank do you have? Livestock?
Problems, questions and concerns?
Future builds?

I have a nice little setup, 55 gal display tank with two 20 gal sumps.

x4 hermit crabs
x2 emerald crabs
x2 clownfish
x1 midas blenny
x1 green chromis
x2 cleaner shrimp

I have more coral than I feel like listing right now and don't remember everything I have either.

This tank has been up for 1.5 years now.

Currently waiting on some sexy shrimp as I'm having an issue with stars, what I assume to be Astyria [sp]...

Only have freshwater tanks. Just picked up the hobby a few months ago.

36 gal bow front (gravel)
Mollies, Platties, Julii Cory, Blue Gourami, German Blue Rams

2.5 gal Spec Nano (planted)
Betta Crowntail

I didn't look into aquascapng until my tanks were all established and stocked. Looking forward to doing it eventually.

WOW so many people into the aquarium hobby also?! Had about 7 fish tanks in my room at one point but been keeping freshwater for about 10 years, saltwater for about 2 years but at the moment i have zero tanks due to a coral side project my friends and i are doing. if interested PM me and i can give you deets!!!

Future build for me would most likely be a custom leemar tank (bugatti veyron of fish tanks)

-Dimensions:36X30X20 (LXWXH) So a really deep shallow peninsula tank!
-Filtration: Shoot for the biggest refugium i can fit in the stand under this tank with an oversized DC skimmer(controllable pump), most likely use a DC pump for the return pump as well.
-Lighting: Most likely Kessils or Kessil T5 combo (LED for color, T5 for color and growth)
-Aquascape: Small white sand with FHI/Real Reef rock which is man made live rock that has purple epoxy sprayed on to simulate coraline algae.
-Livestock: Most likely a large polyp stony (LPS) dominated tank might dabble with a bit of small polyp stony(SPS) corals but these are a bit finicky. As for fish mostly rare wrasses and small gobies.

LOL sorry if this post seems like alot its just hard to find people that are in to this hobby...especially at my age :P
