its the whole reason we are producing fender flares for the marketplace...to eliminate the stuipdness of people doing these things.

17x10, 18x10 and even larger all running 225 tires...........someone clue me in on how that makes any sense? Its unsafe, its retarded, and its purely looks...so grab some mirrors and toss them under the car, b/c that's all that mess is for....ALL SHOW NO GO!

my $0.02

IMO this is clearly a case of peer acceptance. It has to be the only reason. One of your buddies get's a stupid wheel tire combo, another gets a stupider, someones got to be the stupidest. Don't be the stupidest...

But yea he drives it calmly and nice and easy.
Drifters, sure. Probably because they aren't producing much lateral load, cause they are already sliding. Sliding means there is no grip, also, they tend to use street tires to make the sliding easier. Usually tires like Neovas or RE-01Rs. But if you were to try to stick a turn, ie you want to grip it, there would be immense load on the tire, and yes, they can pop of the bead.

Touge: I dunno, cause most togue is in Japan, and they do like to slide in the japanese shows. But I doubt they stretch to that extreme level. Maybe a little. Like 245 on 9". not like 225 on 10

Yup.

I'm running 255 RE-11 on 9.5, and they cup slightly, and I'm NOT liking that at all. I should have gone wider. (but I was working out handling issues, and didn't want to go crazy wide to mess up more. New swaybar is being made to fix that.)

While this guy is being exemplified for an "unsafe vehicle", we should also start a thread for every other person running stock shocks and ridiculous lowering springs and stock tires as they are just as unsafe as the pictured car. People have been doing this for ages, get over it.

I just can't believe a shop would mount these tires without a waiver. I can't believe these would be mounted, period.

It's theoretically possible he mounted them himself...
