He is less inclined for the bare bones super fast roadsters and more so with 2 door semi-luxury.

well if some rich dude has to ask what kind of car to get, he isn't a driver...so what does it matter?

I would hate most the cars on that list and wouldnt waste my money. I've driven a Z06 and its only fun for a few minutes...then youre over it and you miss all the money you used to have!

I'd get an Atom...or an Exige if i wanted a practical car

You have to understand that an 'economy' car to him is a Benz or BMW 6 series.

He definitely knows how to drive and control a super car; he's had enough practice at least.

He has been out of the States for the past 8 years so he isn't really keen on what our market has to offer.

I think I may have him set on a GT-R!

If that is the case - he owes me at least an hours drive.

umm... you wrote that he has driven economy cars... one would think civic, corolla...

so what KIND of "economy cars" has he driven? the kind it takes an entire pacific island economy to support?

Yeah I didn't mean to confuse; he was the one that kept calling high priced luxury cars 'economy' while we were talking last night.

He has gone through a few cars in the time I have known him - mostly BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Infinity...etc...

Might be a little over your dad's price range, but a CLK63 Black Series would be sick.

Calling a luxury car an economy car smacks of being out of touch with reality.

Who is this rich guy, John McCain?

So for the $90k and up dealers are charging for a GT-R, I say instead he gets an RS4 & picks you up an STi "for your trouble".
