BAIC guys with Tein Flex! Help me out please
I'm closing a deal on some Tein Flex coilovers... I've read good things about them, but when someone says "the ride is stiff" or "there is some increased road noise", I really don't know what that means. I came off some M2/DMS 40's which were pretty bad in terms of bounciness, so I'm a little leery of buying them without riding in a car with them first.
Does anyone in the Bay Area have Tein Flexes in their WRX? I just want to ride for a few minutes in them before I plunk down over a grand Thanks! Comments here on their ride quality, road noise increase and handling are welcome, too.

With the EDFC, i've read that when set to soft settings, it's silky smooth. So, if you like it stiff, set it so. If you like it stock, set it so.

If you want to see pictures of the Flex's installed check out the QMC car on SPI Motorsports site. These were taken this past summer. They have been on the car since September and have performed really well. http://www.spimotorsports.com/QMC1.htm

Thanks a lot, guys... I had to make a decision on the Flexes the day after I posted :O so I decided to get them.
I kinda regret it now.
The ride quality is excellent. The rears clunk like crazy, even though the guy I bought them from swears they made no noise in his car.
After it started clunking, I re-torqued the pillowball top nut to 43 ft-lbs and preloaded the spring by more than 10 mm tighter than the Tein "starter setting". Clunks like crazy. Here's a good description of the noise - "It sounds like you're driving over a boardwalk, with "bup-bup-bup" sounds over the bumps on rough roads from 5-30mph. Strangely, it seems more related to vibration than actual shock compression. Also could be compared to the sound of glass marbles bouncing around in a wooden box."
Everyone I've talked to is like, "oh, you just haven't torqued the top nut as much as you should. DO that and you'll be fine." I 've torqued it with 2 different torque wrenches, and even applied threadlocker on one of the nuts. This sucks. I'd appreciate any advice!
