BAIC gets first crack: Selling my 60GB BC PS3

Yeah, I know this isnt the For Sale section, but getting the word out. Mods can move if they feel free........

So I decided I want a Slim PS3, since I dont have any PS2 games. I know how much this thing is worth, and the value of having the Emotion chip in it ( basically a PS2 in a PS3, not software emulation like the 80GB )

BAIC special price, $400. No lowballs......

I'm sure there are people willing to pay for this, but is this worth having a true ps2 and ps3? It's the same price to get a brand new PS2 and PS3 120gb.

The 60GB PS3 is basically a PS3/PS2/PS1 all in one. It also has 4 USB ports (all other PS3's have 2), a CF reader, SD/Mini SD reader, and a Sony Memory Stick reader (no other PS3 has any of those readers). You'd also pay a little bit more since you'd have to pay tax on a new PS3 and PS2, and you'd also save room having just the 60GB PS3 and not a PS3 and PS2.

$400 is WAY WAY too much. Sorry.

But why would you pay $400 when you can get a brand new one for less?

Going price is like $250 I think. No more than $300.

My 80 gig has all of that stuff. And yeah it might use software emulation for ps2 games but it's never had a hiccup with any of the games I've played on it. $400 used is pretty steep imo. I'd say for a USED PS3 it couldn't be worth more than $320 MAX, and this is only because of the bc.

That's just my opinion, and since this isn't in the for sale section I will freely express it .

If you have a Sony camcorder or camera you can put your videos or pics onto your PS3.

You don't need a memory stick for that. Put it on your PC and use a Flash Drive. Works the same way.

What is the benefit of the 2 extra USB ports (other than confirming bc)? And all the other gizmos and gadgets, do people really use them? Amazon.com has the PS3 slim 120gb at $299.99 and the PS2 slim at $99.99. So, together, the same price, brand new, and the PS2 has PS1 bc, so you get the same thing, and honestly they probably take up less space than an old PS3.

Oh well. Good luck with the sale.

So Im not one to defend a for-sale cockblock (Ray!) but yeah, if you can explain a bit about the 'emotion chip' here it might make the price make a bhit more sense? hows that work?

The emotion chip allows you to play PS1/PS2 games without the software emulation of the 20GB/80GB models. Meaning it will play EVERY PS/PS2 GAME. Unlike the software-emulated models that have certain 'hiccups' with some titles, and will flat out not play others.

OH yeah, I dropped it to $350 now.....
